Fakuma 2024 - VDWF represented with a large joint stand

Numerous companies from the plastics industry will be meeting in Friedrichshafen from October 15 to 19 at the 29th Fakuma. The international trade fair brings together over 1400 exhibitors who will be presenting their products there. The VDWF will once again be on site with its joint stand.

Fakuma offers a practical and international meeting place for companies active in the broad field of industrial plastics processing. Whether extrusion technology, thermoforming or 3D printing - the range of exhibiting companies at the trade fair on Lake Constance showcases the topic of plastics in all its facets. The VDWF will also be represented again this year with a joint stand, where 63 companies will be exhibiting - on an area 120 m² larger than last year, as the VDWF was able to take over adjacent areas from neighboring stands.

Know-how and enriching discussions

The exhibitors include not only tool and mold making companies, but also suppliers, design offices, software providers and service providers for metrology, surface processing and erosion technology, as well as research institutions and educational institutions - including the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences with its VDWF-supported courses for the toolmaking and plastics industries. "Everyone is looking forward to the trade fair and is looking forward to presenting their innovations and expertise to interested visitors," emphasizes VDWF Managing Director Ralf Dürrwächter. The association's organization team is also certain that the get-together with colleagues will facilitate many enriching discussions - even after the official end of the trade fair, when the VDWF stand becomes an informal meeting place for the industry.

"And once again this year, we are inviting trainees to take a tour of the trade fair on October 15 and 16," says VDWF Managing Director Ralf Dürrwächter. The tours will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and are aimed at interested trainees and teachers who would like to see the bigger picture. The start and end point is always the VDWF joint stand, where all participants can also enjoy "healthy food", promises Dürrwächter - "including the new VDWF 'pizza soup', which already celebrated its successful premiere at MedtecLive in Stuttgart". However, the association's catering team will also have to prove its capabilities on the evening of the second day of the trade fair, October 16, when the VDWF once again invites visitors to its traditional stand party. Ralf Dürrwächter: "It's much easier to network with live music, good food and cool drinks ..."

Free admission tickets for Fakuma are available at www.vdwf.de/fakuma. Registration for the trainee tours is also possible there.
