Training initiative

With ist training offensive the VDWF qualificates apprentices in the industry. In the Education Center in South Thuringia in Zella-Mehlis (BCS) trainees are given special knowledge in addition to company training and vocational training.

The VDWF offers its members the opportunity to train their apprentices in the second – and building on this – the third year of their education fort wo weeks each. To ensure individual on-side support, the group size per course is designed for four to eight participants.

The focus is on giving information and enhancing knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of tool and moldmaking beyond the normal curriculum. Thus, the gap between vocational education and the required knowledge in daily business is closed in theory and practice. In addition, the participants gain social experience and also organize an active weekend together.

The main topics are defined by the VDWF and communicated together with the responsible BCS teachers. The apprentices receive detailed papers to the seminar contents. Each training day ends with a reflection on the content of the education. The individual modules will be completed with an examination interview and a certificate.

Non-members are also invited to qualify and motivate their trainees with this inter-company measure.
