Working groups: benefit from experience together
Not everyone has to reinvent the wheel! Collaborating in the VDWF working groups, the tool makers come up with solutions that nobody would come up with by themselves. So, participants meet to compare knowledge and exchange best practices. The "Industry 4.0 in Tool making" working group started a few years ago, to make it possible for smaller companies to master this challenge as well.
The VDWF currently has the following working groups:
- Additive manufacturing
- Masters’ meeting
- QM (Quality Management)
- Marketing Leader’s Meeting
- Contract law
- Tool making 4.0
- Punch and Die Maker’s Meeting «Hart auf Hart»
External experts are invited to help answer questions as required. The number of participants ranges from 12 to 15, but with over 50 people attending some special events. The locations of the specialist meetings rotate among participating companies. This has the added benefit of allowing practical application of theory to the different companies visited.
