Work groups: benefit from experience together
Not everyone has to reinvent the wheel! Collaborating in the VDWF work groups, the tool makers come up with solutions that nobody would come up with by themselves. So, participants meet to compare knowledge and exchange best practices. The "Industry 4.0 in Tool Making" work group started a few years ago, to make it possible for smaller companies to master this challenge as well.
The VDWF currently has the following work groups:
- Additive Manufacturing
- ERP
- Moulders’ Meeting
- Marketing Directors’ Meeting
- Masters’ Meeting
- Sustainability / Future Viability
- Quality Management
- Punch and Die Makers’ Meeting
- Contract Law
- Tool Making 4.0
External experts are invited to help answer questions as required. The number of participants ranges from 12 to 15, but with over 50 people attending some special events. The locations of the specialist meetings rotate among participating companies. This has the added benefit of allowing practical application of theory to the different companies visited.
